Life happens, Which means it gets harder and harder to be inspired. So if my work seems repetitive, work with me. I just got a new pen tablet and I am extremely excited about it. Intuos 4... it's a huge and amazing investment. I can already tell a major difference in my precision. This came all from my head. I usually have to look at a few images to get going, but this was just a doodle that became more of a finished piece. I used the watercolor on the art program I have and well guess what... it is still extremely difficult to work with! However it is slightly more controllable (and there's digital erasing, thank God). This reminds me a lot of some of the female Japanese artists I have researched. Very colorful, but weirdly awkward/ provocative (cannot say the word "provocative" without thinking about Blades of Glory... thanks Kanye and Jay-Z). Alright. Time to Go.

I have been getting into a habit of posting my pictures but never really giving explanation or thoughts as to why I do what I do.
Since getting a job back in September, working over 40hrs a week makes it difficult to post frequently with quality work. However, I am determined to make more of an effort to get a electronic portfolio going.
If you could not already tell, I am very interested in the human figure, particularily faces. I also am into abstract designs... what this all means I am still trying to understand.
I am going to try to delve more into images that I am not familiar with aka animals, inanimate objects... more realistic images (since I definitely got the animation style down to a science... not to toot my own horn or anything). I am really greatful that my family and friends are so supportive of my work. I am getting money to invest in a new computer tablet, which I am very excited about... if anyone has suggestions or know people who have suggestions that would be extremely helpful (if people read this that is). That's it for now. Maybe I can finally get my scanner to work at home and scan some good ol', hand draw images on this blog. Peace.
